Hello,
I'm surprised this game never got a multiplayer option for the main story missions. Has anyone ever tried importing the campaign stages into the multiplayer race mode?
For a long time I believed that I had grown up playing co-op with my younger brother, but it turns out we were playing single player together on separate computers. Mandela effect...

Hmm. I don't believe anyone has tried yet, but given what I know so far about the multiplayer that exists, I don't think it'd work. It is an interesting idea though, I bet it would be technically possible. I do know that Frogger 2 had LAN multiplayer, but it wasn't cooperative, it was competitive.

I don't think I realized it could play over the LAN. I remember sharing a keyboard... Hopefully someone gives co-op a shot someday! I'd even put money on it. I always hoped GOG would pick this up.

The biggest problem I see with co-op multiplayer in this game is that the levels just... Aren't designed for it. Competitive multiplayer, sure - you could have it in split-screen and make it so that things in one player's side don't affect the other in order to make a Race Mode - but co-op implies being able to work together to beat a level, which wouldn't really work given the linearlity of the game. The exception, of course, being the arcade levels, and that one space level where the frogs are scattered across multiple sections, all grouped around a centre point you warp back to after finishing a section.
However, if custom levels ever become a thing for this game, I could certainly see co-op being viable for more open levels.

Are you in the discord? That's where most things take place. I'm sure we could try to setup some multiplayer matches sometime there.
