I had a nostalgia trip again recently and decided to search up some Frogger: He's Back! related videos and came across a couple of gems! The first video is an official trailer that is on the German Power Play Magazine CD-ROM demo for January 1998. You can see more about the magazine issue here (Frogger is on page 156), you can see what the demo disc looks like below: The trailer contains a very cheesy animation of Frogger's old design, early video game box art, and most interesting of all, old gameplay footage with cut levels, models and animations!
The next video is an old TV news story from 1997 that covers the release of Frogger: He's Back! and features some notable people in the description. Some gameplay of earlier builds of the game is shown, but appears closer to its final version. Notable differences from the final version are that the baby frogs appear to share Frogger's model and have different bouncing animations, points are only earned by rescuing baby frogs and super-jumping, the flies hover up and down faster than usual, the extra lives HUD element animation plays faster, and fewer particle effects.

Ooh, goody! Nice findings. Also, that's quite the flashy advertisement. Interesting how Frogger has a different design on the cover art, and that the scene is basically just flipped from what it is now. Well, about Frogger's design, I guess the model does look a bit different there in game too. Posted by Froli.
