Here are a few of the immediate differences I noticed when briefly playing the two versions: - Ticks (I think?) are faster on PSX, also meaning instantaneous game over (on PC there would be a half second delay), and as well hopping on the main menu is faster, as well as the timer. On PC the Continue/Exit options don't immediately appear when pausing.
- PSX has a little tune on loading screens.
- Fade is always existent on PSX loading screens. Fades only exist on the PC version on lower graphics settings.
- Frogger croaks like you can hear in music/videos on PSX, on the PC it just sounds like a much lower tone of the standard croak the baby frogs use.
- Superhop is higher pitched on PSX.
- Network menu is non-existent on PSX.
- Bugs have a glow on PSX version, on PC they are bubble sprites.

The PSX version also has some unused music on its disk, uploaded at tcrf.net/Frogger_(1997)I knew some of these things weren't just me going crazy! I just can't get used to the D-PAD on the PSX controllers though, I always end up hitting it wrong and it sending me in the wrong direction, so I still prefer PC.

So I'll chime in and add a few things.
* The NTSC PSX version is indeed faster; I think this is simply a case of NTSC/PAL speed differences though. Given the game was originally developed in the UK and the fact that the frame rate in the PC version is locked at 25FPS (which is exactly half 50), the NTSC PSX version just ends up being marginally faster as a result. The PAL PSX version matches the PC version in speed though. * It isn't just superhop that's higher pitched, EVERY sound is higher pitched. Again, this owes to the speedup. * The 1-up sound is different. * The shadow effects are much smoother on the PSX than they are on PC. * Due to a bug (heh), you can't see the flies in the retro zone on PC, though they're still there; you can only get them with blind luck though. * When playing 2-player on the PC version, the screens get stretched out; this is not the case in the PSX version.

A minor difference, in the PC Version (Build v3.0 - Wednesday, 19th November 1997) In: Zone - Machine Zone, Level 4-2 - PLATFORM MADNESS where Frogger falls off the ledge and lands on the switch, it will switch to then back to . This does not happen in the PSX Version. In the PSX Version, the switch will stay .
